PDS Inspect – Linked Faults

PDS Planned Inspection now offers complete asset health transparency.

What is it?

All faults that are linked to an asset will now be visible to the user when conducting their inspections, be it from a different inspection checklist or from asset-based inspections.  This means you will be able to see all faults linked to the asset you are inspecting that were created by other work teams.

For example, your conveyor inspection involves checking the pulley bearing for any leaks or visible faults.  If say a Condition Monitoring team have recorded a fault against that pulley, you will see an indicator of that fault, and even be able to view the full details.  You can then opt to add a reference of that fault to your inspection as an acknowledgement.  Having this transparency will prevent duplication of effort in fault investigation and reporting.

How does it work?

On your Task List screen you will see a little number indicator next to any Task which is linked to an asset which has other faults recorded against it.

If a Task has a fault indicator, then swiping left on the Task will reveal the See Linked Fault/s button.

Tapping on the See Linked Fault/s button will take you to a dashboard listing all linked Faults, where you can view the Fault details.  Here is where you can turn on a switch to add a reference of the Fault to the Task in your inspection.

The basic fault information including Condition code, Fault code, Notification and Workorder numbers will be added to the Task/s in your checklist as well as display in the inspection report.
