2nd Quarter Update

Peter Mc Curdy News

It has been a tumultuous start to 2019 for the PDS family. As we are sure many of you know, in the first quarter, we lost our founder Peter McCurdy, whose vision, tireless energy and customer centricity built PDS and our suite of asset management software.

Whilst Peter’s passing has been personally challenging for our team, the condolences which expressed the respect in which he was held by the industry have certainly buoyed the team’s spirits. Peter’s sister, Sandra Hordern, who has worked in financial and contractual management at PDS for 10 years, has been appointed as the Managing Director and thanks everyone for their kind wishes and support.

Product Development

This quarter has seen some positive changes for the PDS team. We have conducted a review and identified changes that were necessary to improve your experience of the software as well as improve communication to our customers. We have spent some time considering the best response the issues identified whist ensuring the short and long term expectations of our customers are met.

Our current improvement program is designed to

~Improve customer responsiveness

~Improve the user experience

~Improve data exchange

~Expedite resolution of any outstanding issues

~Build out the Complex module

This quarter we welcomed the arrival of new team member Simi Kurup who will be responsible for Quality Assurance in the testing and release of updates.

We are also embarking on a review of our platform infrastructure for mobile devices. This is a longer-term project, however success will streamline development for these devices increasing the efficiency of the development and release process.

PDS Growth

The benefits of PDS Asset Management Software has been recognised by some of the world’s biggest miners with large long-term contracts signed recently. Scoping projects are also being undertaken with other international mining companies. These activities highlight the merits of the PDS software and will allow us to further develop our capabilities to meet your evolving needs.

Survey

You will soon receive a brief survey from PDS as part of our continuous improvement processes, it will take less than 5 minutes to complete and the information you provide will help us to serve you better. All survey responses are anonymous.
